You know it's winter when donor cars are constantly dangled in front of you at very low prices.
I bit, on a "Free" 88 Fiero despite my vow to not take in any more strays/projects.
Engine is a 2.5 Iron Duke :ack: , but at least it is a five speed.
Did I mention it's a 1988 so has the Lotus designed suspension?
Around the corner from me is a Bradly GT*, also very cheap, complete with title.
6" difference in track but only 1.1" difference in wheelbase.
Not sure how the passenger space placement may differ, need more research.

Then I had another thought, modern TERRAPIN!
I'm not a fan of passengers in general and certainly not when driving for too much fun.
Single-seat road cars are legal here if kept light enough!

Since this car sat four years in the Nevada woods (Yes, we do have trees in Nevada!) I expect the engine to be seized, or at least the wiring to be chewed up.
It's not much of a loss if the 'Duke is junk, most folk feel they were that from the factory.
So now I wonder what might make a good swap without silly expense?
And no, the 2.8 V6 is not an answer, different trans.

Seats appear to be very nice, wonder if they would fit in my GT6?
I will be selling the three 17" Hoopety rims and using the original 14's.

*One of the ugliest VW Bug based mass production kit cars ever conceived.
But very simple and easy to modify.
