I think it looks like some serious muscle in a light little roadster. I'll be very curious to see the front end bodywork. I anticipate it'll end up with a bit of a Big Daddy Roth portal in the bonnet.

It looks like you got the picture loading part figured out, though I do wonder how you got your car to stick to the wall like that.

Interesting build. Thanks for sharing. What are the specs?

Looks like it is based on a street rod frame with 2x3 rails and some locost elements added, 86-95 sbc with a high rise intake and block huggers, 700r4 or T350, and a mustang 2/pinto front suspension.

Locost plans are free and come in different plus-sizes and other variation. V8s usually take a “442” chassis. Where did you get the plans?

What application is the radiator designed for? Looks like 60-70s ford or gm.

Which differential and rear suspension do you plan to fit (3 link, 4 link, torque arm, IRS, etc)?

I would add a cross member brace between the upper coilover mounts to prevent flexing at the upper rails and keep the upper control arm cross shaft mount from moving back and forth. Not a lot of movement but enough to notice the difference when driving imho.

Source of the seat foam?

I used extra sticky tires to make it stick to the wall.
The frame has been extended in the front 16” I believe it was. The rear frame extended 6” for room to fit the 15 gallon fuel cell. Engine is a 1990 5.7 roller engine bored 30 over with a gym hot cam(425hp). Trans is a 4l60e so I can have over drive. Shifter will be a lokar 4l60e sport shift so I can paddle shift. Trans has been built with all the upgrades for road or track. I do plan on adding paddle shift to steering wheel down the road. The rear end is a 95 gt mustang. Brakes are wilwood dual master cylinder for easy adjustment front and back. I did use mustang II style front spindles but made to except the larger gm metric calipers. Drilled and slotted Rotters on all four wheels. Qa1 coil overs all around with triangulated four link in the rear. Custom made radiator (same as our local round tract cars) with extra thick tanks. I added an oil cooler and yet to buy the trans cooler. Currently it sets 5.75” off the ground. I do plan on raising it a bit higher.

The only thing I remember about the seats are they cam out of the back of a really small two door car. The backs are perfectly flat so they work pretty good with flat back of cabin. The bottom on the other hand is shaped on the bottom so some work will have to be done to make them set right. I can’t remember if it was a Hyundai or a scion they cam out of. They are really comfortable. The reason I used 2X3 on the bottom rail is due to the extra weight and torque of the v8 engine. I also added some braces under the seating area for extra safety. The front suspension is held in place by 2x2 with 1/4 wall thickness to help prevent flexing. Once all parts and prices are purchased and in place I will definitely look into the need for and where best to put a cross brace.

This is an interesting build. I'll look forward to seeing more later.

Bye the way, most cameras, cell phones and PC operating systems (Mac, Windows, Linux) have a utility program for rotating your photos. Often, it's available on the camera, or camera software, itself. That would make them more "readable."

Cheers,

Damn! That front slip angle is way too large and the Ackerman is just a muddle.

With all that extra metal it's probably fine.
An AC evaporator converted to oil cooler.
I spy a glass nose in the pics.

How are you controlling the electronic automatic?
What kinda carb is that? Holley 4010?

It is an actual oil cooler but does strongly resemble a a/c part.
The car is a quick fuel 650.
The trans is controlled with a TCI transmission controller.
