The FM Westfield rolled through town the other day and I got a rather spirited 10-minute ride in it. Very fast of course, but I was really impressed with the solid feel of the car over some pretty rough terrain. No rattles or creaks from the chassis or all-fiberglass body, and handling was more neutral than I expected--both ends tended to break loose at the same time, with only slight corrections needed to keep it in line.

The car had a lot more "finished" look than a typical Locost, with a nicely-integrated windshield, seats on sliders, and full interior trim. But you get what you pay for, as the kit isn't close to a Locost price. Still, it gives you an idea what's possible with a Locost if you build it right and pay attention to the details.

Thanks for the review :) The handling is the result of a bit of tweaking - it understeered in high speed sweepers when it first hit the track, but we've dialed that out.

Westfield did a nice job of engineering.
