Does anyone know we’re I can find the snaps that go on the wind screen for the top to attach to. Also how do you attach them to the windscreen?

Are you after lift-the-dot studs and fasteners, or durable dot fasteners? Either way, they're both readily available. Home depot used to and probably still does carry the durable dot type, and a quick google search shows the lift-the-dots on amazon or at any local outdoor upholstery shops (boat places too).

As for how to fasten them to the windscreen frame, the durable dot can be rivetted, but be careful the rivet doesn't touch the glass. The lift-the-dot studs are typically 10-32 thread, which will work in aluminum but isn't the best solution (coarse thread is the norm for threading into aluminum). I seem to recall Caterham windscreen frames had threaded inserts for the studs.

You could also use a jeep bikini top type attachment with plastic flange sewn into the front edge of the top and a groove to receive it using a strip of aluminum around the top of the windscreen. This would seal better and look cleaner than snaps.

I would suggest that you use at a min, 9 snaps across the front of the windshield frame. If you copy the original Seven and only installed 7 snaps, this leaves several small gaps between the five snaps across the top of the windshield frame once you reach speeds above 50+ MPH. I highly recommend that you install at least nine snaps and possibly even ten. Attach the snaps using 8-32 countersunk machine screws, and tap directly into the aluminum channel, before installing your glass. Another thing to look at, is your mid-section top cross, that uses a center support tube, Vs to side "U" shaped tube. It makes entering the cabin much easier. I've posted photos on the forum of the set-up. But can re-post if you can not find them.
By the way, my bikini top is on 99% of the time! Sure improves motoring, Vs being baked by the sun.

Look up how the early Triumph Spitfires mount the top. It doesn't use snaps across the windshield. It has a slot on the windshield into which short bars sewn into the top fabric sit. It should be easy to implement. At the same time, the additional metal should strengthen the top bar across the windshield.
