Thank you, this brings my planned Miata powered build much closer to fruition.

Ok so maybe there are 13 if you count the grounds. I'm not sure they are all needed but I figured they wouldn't hurt. Id be happy to share the entire schematic that I drew. Its on a program called Autodesk Actrix, so Im not sure how "sharable" it is, but PM me and ill try. This is sort of a hijacked thread, so I should point out that my car is an early 1.6 motor Im not sure if anything I have done will tranlsate directly to the 1.8.

Back to MiataV8's question, I did use the chokes and jets from Normans book. The electronics were sourced locally in Dallas and built to the diagram in Normans book

Thanks for sharing your build. Nice fab. I spied the gm map but where is your breadboard for the inverter circuit? I was curious if you put that in a box, sealed it or whatever. You should be able to right click your pics and open with microsoft office, then edit for a number of options including resize. It can be done in microsoft paint also. 800x600 works well.

Here is a pic of the distributor that should fit for anybody else.

I also had a significant wiring reduction on my mazda B3 1300 based trike when converting to carb. Not quite finished in pic but all the required wiring is present.

Hello
Here is a link to my forum post which refers to my Toyota 4AGE build, with Suzuki GSXR carbs.
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=19539

My engine is very similar to a 1.6 Miata engine. I used the Nodiz ECU on this one, because it has bluetooth so I can tune with my phone. I have used Megajolt on another project (like the ignition half of a Megasquirt). You have to install a toothed wheel and a Hall sensor from a Ford Escort, and use a coil from the same.

The throttle response is really good with these carbs.

Good luck with your project!
cheers
Doug

I did. That's the black box between the fan relay and the MAP sensor.

I have explored a dizzy but so far I'm happy letting the ECU run the ignition. That may change after I drive it, but my timing light says the timing is changing when I rev the engine so I thinks its working!

Thanks for the tips on pictures, Ill try that next time
