So here's a thought (that's all I can do because I can't build  ), I left my shop at home.
I see many members on this site building virtual reality cars and "wringing" them out before becoming tangible.
The way VR is evolving in leaps and bounds I foresee members building VR 7's, strapping on the VR headsets, and going for a blat with other VR members.
Members thousands of miles apart can get together and cruise or autocross in any part of the world..........mind boggling.
Your thoughts?

Perry, it is an interesting idea, but unless every participant is using an agreed dynamic model, being able to say that Joey beat Billy over the course is questionable at best. Both will have a great VR experience because the graphics quality, but comparative performances would be questionable.

On the other hand, if someone 'built' a dynamic model that drove the VR and each participant only loaded input data to define their car (geometry, CG, mass, spring rates, tire characteristics etc, etc.) then there would be hope of reliable comparative results. Getting those data would be the biggest challenge. One might need 'standard' data for things like tires. It would be easier for VR based on real cars where it might be possible to make use of skid pad data.

Some of the SAE types on the forum can probably give a better response. I am just a naval architect ....
