Great work as always Perry. At 62 you don't need to push yourself. I'm 80 and I take it easy all the time. Just ask my wife. Still geet sore and tired now and again.

Looking good Perry. I can only imagine your aches and pains when you get to putting up the roof . Alas, at 68+, I no longer do roofing, or much of anything on a ladder, now-a-days. otherwise I would be there to help. Honest Injun. (cough, cough!).

Hi Perry,

I'm starting to think about my lower control arms (uppers are circle track style adjustables) and I know you've had good success with yours. I think this latest version is really an adaptation of what you've done previously, right?

I have the materials from your postings, but what are the dimensions in inches of the below?

Gosh Lonnie I don't remember the numbers nor did I write the down (maybe I did at the time but that piece of scrap paper is history).

Anyhow for my builds that measurement from the LBJ to the centreline of the inner bushing pivot is dependant on my rack and pinion inner TRE pivot location as far as the bushing placement is concerned and the front rotor wheel stud face distance from frame centerline measured against the rear rotor stud face distance from frame centerline for the lower BJ placement.

If this script I'm trying to type and explain doesn't make sense let me know and I'll call you.

Thanks, Perry. I think we got things cleared up in that phone call. Or, did we get more confused?

Cheers,

Well, a bit of an update of sorts.

Cistern/pumphouse construction coming along, Ordered roof tin should be here this week. 2100 gal tank is in the building. Mounted electrical panel and ran liquid conduit where needed. Mounted wall heater. Today I ran power under ground then powered up the breaker panel.

Build wise, the boy sent me some sneak pics of the nose and fenders. They still need to be wet sanded and power polished to make them 'pop', but they look pretty darn good as is.

Wow! Perry that looks great! Colour is pretty similar to Steve Chovan's. Yous is more gold and his is more orange. His would be safe driving by Ft. Knox, yours would be confiscated.

Are you relying on precipitation to fill your cistern?

Cheers!

Uhhh, Perry, it looks like your efficient building processes aren't limited to cars.

I dare not let my wife see how you progress projects.

No more than I am already, that's normal for me!

We have a water station in town so I will be buying "city" water and hauling it to fill the cistern.

I just do a bit every day, feels like I've been working on the building longer, but I started construction ~17 days ago. Been having strong winds for the last 3 days and looks like it will be windy for the next couple. May get a chance to put roof metal on this coming Sunday if winds diminish.

LOL, I have yet to actually meet them, I think they're just slackers who drink my Rum and eat my food when I'm not paying attention.

Thanks for the kudos guys

Installed tin on the roof and wrapped the building in Tyvek, couple of pics.

Small update, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Picked up the siding this morning. Nailed the corners on, the J trim, and starter strip on the whole building. Then I did the major wall, which was the north wall, it has the tank fill, an outside 120V plug, a garden hose hydrant, and the wall heater do dad thingy chimney out the side.
Hopefully 1 more week and its all done. Then it's bathtub watersports with city water, woo hoo!!!!!!!!! :yay:

Perry, if you don't mind, how much was a 2100 gallon roto-moulded tank? A couple of thousand bucks?

Our cisterns are poured in place reinforced concrete, but the cost was bundled with the foundation cost, so unknown.
