Road trip!

Yup! I grew up 25 miles from Thom and my parents want me to go install some new under cabinet lights for them.
This weekend We are going to Escanaba, MI. Probably my first summer trip it won’t be 65 degrees. Yes, I am running the 7. We’ll see who decides to drive with me. My daughter loves riding in the 7 is all of a sudden backing out.

Little addition, Momo!! 280cm is definitely weird compared to the huge 350mm I had in here. Fits the car better, although it’s going to take some getting used to. Got a pretty good deal on EBay from a don’t wanter. I know, I know, it’s a real one. Didn’t even know they counterfeit these things.

Looks really nice Steve! I just noticed your "pouch" along side your trans hump, nice touch.

I started this weld table a few weeks ago. Finally getting the first coat of paint on it. These 2 sets of drawers are sliding in. I should finally have one place for a lot of stuff. The welder the argon a welding station. The argon I’m laying down on those brackets behind the drawers. Probably 3 coats of paint with this oil based. I didn’t know orange in oil was almost impossible to make. The guy at Sherwin about ripped his hair out. He’s said if I would have asked for red he would have thrown me out, HA!! I love it.

All done. I have room for plasma cutter and mig welder, which I need desperately. Put the argon on the back so it’s out of the way. Don’t do this with Co2 or Acetylene though, not good. I could almost get 3/4 of a 7 frame on top of here.

That's a mighty fine looking wheeled toolbox/welding/grinding/shop drink holder/desk/ fabrication/ all purpose table you got there
Now if that had a flat screen tv, recliner, fridge, and crapper, there would be no need for a house
Hope it serves you well :yay:

Thanks guys. I’ve been working on a workmate(the small one) for 20yrs. I finally had the time and said screw it. I’m sure it will evolve over time. Buff off a little paint, weld on attachments, you know.

I’m on my third set of rear springs as of today and I still have banging going on. It’s not all the time. Has to be the right bump. So tear out my upper blast shield for U joints and sure enough. I joint hitting the crossbar that the blast shield is welded too. It’s the only place it could be. I can’t find evidence anywhere else. So I’ll cut a new one weld it in 2-1/2” higher and remove the parking brake because now they occupy the same space. Shoot. I’m up to 450# springs now. I have to say it rides nice. I also was able to back our most of my shock dampening. 1 click on rebound is it.

Nice job on the fab table, Steve. That's something I need to do in future to consolidate and save space.

Cheers,
