a Buick 231 V6 with high compression, a hot cam, and ultra rare* Inglese' twin Weber IDA-3's!

Only took about four years to get this set together, cost much more than the rest of the engine, and will never be for sale so long as I live.

Still have to work out linkage and rebuild them when I am closer to firing it up.
This engine goes into my Trick-6 GT6/Buick V6 and WC T5 project.

*Less than fifty cast, no idea how many still exist.

I am experiencing some swelling below the belt viewing that goodness.

I hope it performs as well as it looks.

My only complaint is that the manifold is a low profile deal with compromises for hood clearance.

Rock it for all it's worth, it's got to make some glorious noises!

I am hoping to get it to fit under a Triumph GT6 bonnet without cutting.
I also know of a guy who got the same set under a TR3 bonnet after lowering the engine a bit from his original mounting.
TR3 owner says it works great.

That there is a thing of beauty, only thing I see wrong with it is it's not in an engine bay. Looking forward to the final installation, very cool.

The webers look like the ones off early Porsche 911's. You may be able to use some of the linkage setup off a Porsche. Andfor air cleaners, look at "Water Shed" style listed under Porsche lists like ebay. They are lower profile and work very well.

Yes they are 911 carbs.
Back when these manifolds were new and IDA-3's were cheap 46's were recommended.
Today 46's are insanely over-priced, for a street engine the 40's will be fine.

Keep an eye out for a used small-diameter flywheel and clutch assembly with the BOP bellhousing pattern and you can sit that baby right on down. GM sponsored Pontiac and Olds road racers back in the day, and Tilton and others made appropriate bits for them.

All the stock Buick V6s I ever saw used the large-size GM flywheel and ring gear.

This set-up goes into my TRICK-6 build.
Engine and trans mounts are already done, as low and rearward as possible in street car.
Have not gotten a chance to mock it up with the Webers yet.
Considering modifying the ventilation system to work as cowl induction if it will let me avoid cutting the bonnet.
Currently have about three other projects to complete before I can get back to this.
The largest is putting up the new work-shop.
