Not exactly a locost question.
Does anyone know of a source/shop that can build/repair custom half-shafts? A friendly Caterham ate it's universal joint and there could be an excessive delay for a replacement from the UK.
IIRC the car has a Sierra differential with bespoke wheel uprights.

thanks
p.

Just a guess but I would imagine that any good automotive driveshaft shop will have the capability to ID what you have and rebuild your half-shafts.

I used Chicago Driveline Alsip IL 60803, 708 385 1900. They built my custom driveshaft when I swapped rear axle. Fast and efficient, cost $209.79

That shouldn’t happen. Did the inboard joint break and/or separate from the diff? If so, I suspect a combination of the coilover has too much travel/too little of a bump stop and/or alignment spec causing bottoming in the inner cup, too great an angle for the depth of the tripod, or extending too far out of the cup.

Check with US distributors for Caterham. They may have spares here, but you need to provide the chassis type (i.e. SV, CSR, S3 etc). Most likely the stub is integral to the half shaft (typical passenger car type) versus a porsche/vw type with a bolt-on cv joint at each end.
