FWIW, Any local glass shop can make you a legal, laminated windshield with the required markings. I had one made for my Locost and then another one made for my Cushman Truckster. I would be surprised if it would cost you over $100

Sorry just saw this, You could check with Tom Carlin. He bought out Birkin in SA and has a lot of the inventory in the states.
His email is tcarlin@colorado.net. I have a 2001 S3 and have bought parts from him. Great guy wants to get Birkin up and running again.
