It's time to let go of this thing after 7 years of minimal progress. I'd like to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend and I can't see myself having free time for at least a few years.

I have every piece of the Miata drivetrain that you need to make this work. I bought it and sold off the body parts, I drove it home for a 3 hour trip before taking it apart so I know everything works. 1.8 engine from a 1994, 4.3 torsen, 5 speed. Everything comes with it, uncut wiring harness that is labeled although you should be fine even if it wasn't, gauges, two cats if you need them for cali at some point, new miata engine mounts, subframe welded to the locost frame but could easily be removed if you want to go a different route. I have all the HVAC parts for the heater and even have the cruise control parts if thats your thing. The engine has been sitting for a few years but I go out there and turn it over every month or so, my intention was to make it run and drive and then rebuild it after. I have a few pedal assemblies from different cars that you can match up to work, the miata one, E30, celica. Also have two steering racks, the miata, and a much lighter manual spitfire one and a couple of steering columns.

The engine has not been mounted yet so you can put it where you want it to fit you. I have Jacks control arm kit with the nice rod ends and all the brackets with it. I have raptor 660 shocks with remote reservoirs that should work nicely with the rear suspension. The frame is mostly only tacked so if there is something you want to change it wont be a big deal.

I just bought jacks control arm kit for $400, I know I could get about $1200 selling only the engine, trans, and rear diff on craigslist locally without much hassle. Selling everything separate would easily be over $2k, I don't expect anything for my work but I am asking for something near $2000. There are a LOT of parts that I didn't mention and I will give you everything. I will give you a set of wheels that it can roll on, the frame moves easily with rear wheels on it. I have that set of mesh wheels and tires in the videos that have good measurements that I will give you if you don't try to beat me up on price. I also have a set of 14'' wheels from a 2013 Mini that I will sell separately with good tires on them. I had just put them on my corolla before it threw a rod.

Well dang, I'm sorry to see your project come to an end (but I understand your motivation, and if I had to choose between my gf and my Locost I'd be doing the same). If you do end up selling it in bits and pieces, contact me off list about a refund on the Kinetic parts.

How many miles on the engine?

Thanks Jack. I'm sure I will get to the point in a few years where I can start again.

I just went out and checked the gauge set that came out of the car. It said 108,000 miles. I have no reason to believe it's incorrect.

Also, if anyone thinks my price is unreasonable feel free to discuss it here. I'm not trying to make money, only looking for a fair deal.

Toylocost, I too will be sorry to see you go, and I have to say that anyone who buys your project will be 1) getting a smokin' deal, and 2) far ahead of the curve for getting started on a build. I wish I'd had such an opportunity!!

For any newcomers here, this would be a heck of a leg up!!

What size is the frame?
Wondering if a 3.8 SC engine will fit.

I think I need to finally let go of this and move on to other things, so it is for sale again. I made a video to show what I have...

Nice! You might want to post it on the Grassroots Motorsports site as well.
