2006 LE5 Ecotec removed @ 50,xx miles from a Pontiac Solstice for LS swap.
ECU, most wiring, All engine accessories included.
DBW accelerator pedal.
(Radiator, Condenser, Lines also included though not likely needed for Locost build).
NOS Aisin AR-5 manual transmission (in crate from factory) . Solstice driveshaft.

Unlike many, this Ecotec is set up for longitudinal mounting and RWD. The factory header included is on the right side.

I was considering a swap into a Datsun 510 and collected all the parts I could (hence the AC bits) including a the dash climate control unit.

LE5 is an compact aluminum block I-4 rated at 173 hp/164 lb-ft. It is a popular Miata swap for "1.8 turbo-like power an torque without the complexity or cooling issues"

Available in Asheville NC and can assist with loading.

That would be a hot setup for Locost. Do you have an asking price?

Cheers,

Yeah thinking about starting another.

I gifted the frame I got from you to a friend and helped them get started on a build, then I bought a R1 powered 7 from a guy in Atlanta a while back, raced it a few years. Family stuff kept us from going racing for about 12-18 months so I sold it so I didn't have to see it sitting there unused. Now I'm getting the itch again.

I think I'd like something just a bit more streetable than the R1 w/ 4.10 gears, but still fun for track days.

You got any that your working on now?

I just sold the 7 I was working on.

Right now there's a prototype car sitting on stands in my garage wanting some attention. It's the Meerkat that Bert was building quite a few years ago.
Mid engine, 1st gen MR2 donor for engine transmission, suspension, steering ,etc. One off fiberglass body with most of the molds.

I can't decide whether to start on it or sell it. Need to do one or the other

Ah yes I remember the Meerkat. As tempting as a mid engine build is I'll have to pass on that one.

Apologies Biqut2 ! This sold locally soon after I listed it on FB marketplace and I haven't set up my Locost account properly to notify me that there were responses to my thread/ad.

If you go to your first post you can edit it to say it is sold.
