Hi,

i am selling my R1 powered Lotus Seven replica. it was originally built by bonjo2 and wniaura:

Street legal and titled as a 1964 Lotus Seven, but it is a replica built from a CMC frame between 2007 and 2012.
I bought this car in 2014 and used it mainly for autocross.
The original builder (wniaura) was a taller guy, so he lengthened the chassis by 4 inches. The seat has since been moved forward again but if you are 6ft+you can easily move it back and make the car work for you.

Engine is from a 2004 Yamaha R1, revving to almost 14000rpm and produces ~170hp. More than enough to have fun in a car that only weighs 1350lb (driver included). Shifting is done by paddles behind the steering wheel connect to the original shift lever via a push-pull cable. It uses the transmission from the bike, meaning there is NO reverse. Not a big deal with how light the car is. Rear axle is a 1985 RX7 GSL-SE axle with a NA Miata torsen differential.

Car is wrapped in orange which can look yellow in some pictures. It is BMW green underneath.

It will come with a 40x48" Harbor Freight trailer that holds a box, a cooler, a jerry can and a Dewalt TSTAK tool box.

13330miles are on the dash now. The car had 4500miles when I got it but at that time the speedometer was off which I fixed by installing a speedohealer. The roughly 9000miles I put on are accurate. not sure about the accuracy of the previous miles.

The good:
- clutch and clutch basket has recently been replaced
- differential upgraded
- suspension points have been reinforced after they broke

The bad:
- oil leak at the oil drain plug
- body work has seen better days

$15,000
located in Ohio

Looks like fun! I see you've had lots of views, but no responses...so here's this, to keep the thread active.
