Hey all, I came across this video of Mercedes new supercar which utilizes separate coil overs depending if the car is in roll or heave. Interesting system and not SUPER complicated.

While not exactly revolutionary, it is an interesting implementation of a divorced ride/roll suspension. As with many things though, the devil is in the details. The inherent non-linearity of the bellcranks likely means that there is likely a minor activation of the roll damper in ride that needs to be accounted for, as well as different left vs right roll damper activation curves that would probably require different spring (and damping) rates for each direction.
