I don't know if the Rotus parts are the same, but this may be a lead.

Mine were under $50 US each. And they look "correct."

I used forlift tail lights from McMaster-Carr, part number 58065T11. They look the same as the ones you posted. They have a built in reflector too, which is nice so that you don't have to add one on the fender.
I had to make a wedge to mount them to the fender so that they sit right. Here is a picture of them installed:

Bugeye rear lights - these were used on early Lotus Sevens - nice and minimal. Moss carries them.

Adding my 2 cents:
I used two nissan forklift taillights. No DOT marking on them. They wire up easily and I am quite happy with them. There are probably cheaper solutions out there...these were about $30 each.

There is also 2 LED strip lights (from harbor freight) mounted on the rollbar. A Backoff-XP(tm) module makes them flash 5 times before staying on. It is very worrying to think that those in a high vehicle cannot see you, and I definitely recommend getting adding a flash to the rollbar light.

Is there anything wrong with mounting both head- and tail lights up on the roll bar? I'd try to fit them in nicely, aero compatible and all. I have not checked state regs on this.

State regulations usually want the lights to be at certain heights. Those might be to high, every state seems to be different (read anal about different things). For the tail lights you are probably ok. For the headlights, I would wager you are going to need to angle them down quite a bit to not blind other drivers. That angle will limit how far in front of you those headlights are going to be good for.
Regardless of legality, I would be worried about other drivers reactions. Most drivers are probably not expecting head or brake lights at the level of your rollbar.

Yes I'd forgotten for some reason that high headlights are a real pain for oncoming drivers. Maybe a line of little orange ones like on a truck would work best in front.

Man, I gotta update my web site. I got 40 of those taillight assemblies in off a boat in October...but it's been a secret for some fool reason. They're $35 each from Kinetic for the complete assembly. They're the very same taillight seen on dang near every British Seven-inspired car (including the Catherham). Anyway, since I just got compete assemblies and no spares, send me an email and I'll break up a set--I'll send you the blocks at a discount and then I'll have two spare lenses.
Over there, these are ordinary trailer lights. Over here, they're exotic sports car lights. I had to get a lot of them to make them worth shipping but now that I've got 'em it's time to spread them around.
Please pardon the self-promoting response to the question but hey, there it is; part of my service is to ante up the bucks for what is essentially a group buy.

Here's the Caterham/Birkin/Kinetic/Etc taillights under discussion.
[edit--a pic of these mounted on MAX about 2/3 down the page on...

...or if you want to see how these taillights look on a pretty car, cruise the Caterham website.]
[And PS: Shouldn't this thread be on the Lighting and Electrical forum?]

Don't you have to have a white backup light?
