Hey, that's the heater I put in The Other Woman. Works great and I use the cooled coolant to cool my oil down.

Another video on Youtube, at night because its the only time I've had to drive it. 35 degrees outside. Better sound though, and I get on it pretty hard a few times.

Tomorrow I'll get some daylight video and maybe some of the suspension in action.

Great video. You really notice how much power it has.

A random question though. People are always asking me what kind of fuel economy my 5.0L will get. I have no idea. Do you have any numbers for your Locost?

The answer is "who cares?" :)
Honestly, with fuel economy becoming the talk of the day in every household, people tend to throw that question onto everything that has an engine and wheels... I bet you didn't build your locost because you were after gas mileage

Great stuff, Rod!

I am the co owner of a VIO POV.1 and I got a microphone for Christmas! Still waiting on the Dead Cat. Not locost, but not bad when you split it! Plus its a great sports POV camera. The cool thing about it, I can get some really cool video angles of the car. It really isn't intended as a night camera, it is much better in good light.

There is no such thing as fuel economy when your foot is constantly in it. When the adrenaline wears off I might be able to keep my foot out of it long enough to get a decent measurement. It could be a while! I am filling it up less than I thought I would.

One thing I love about this car is how easy it is to recover when it loses traction. In a straight line or around a turn. Its very forgiving as long as you respect the power.

Gosh, Rod, that car pulls strong, don't it?

Good job on the camera mount. Where exactly did you mount it? Could you post a pic of your camera mount? It's rock solid...and with the muscle your car carries, it wouldn't tolerate much camera mount flex for a viewable video. It looks great!

I'll stop raving now.

Jack, the link above has a picture, the red bracket is from Speedway, "weight mount" I believe, the actual camera mount is a ultra cheap tripod from Target welded on to a bolt that fits the red bracket. I have about $15 invested in it.

I drove out to a freinds house in the foothills yesterday and recorded his first drive, you can see how hard his head and body gets pushed back when it hooks up and when you let off the gas. I let him drive it, he needed some stress relief, and he has plenty of training with high powered cars. I got in BIG :furious: trouble for not letting my wife drive it first! Problem is she needs to drive it in a big parking lot with some coaching.
