Briggs --

I spend 2 years in Raleigh-Durham, enough to get the idea that NC can be a wonderful place to live. I'm very happy for your new developments. My boss lives somewhere between Charlotte and Asheville, so of course, if I get down that way, I'll want to see how you're coming along.

And as I need, want, to say to all military people and their families, thank you.

Thank you. I've lived in NC my whole life minus the time spent overseas on deployments. I very much enjoy this state. It just needs more race tracks. Hahaha

VIR is about a hour from Durham. Just saying. If you haven't done VIR, then damn, you're missing a great track.

I've been. Went to the continental tire weekend race a few years back. Did some parade laps when I had my 240. I've been meaning to go back, want to go to one of the Moto races as well as some of the cup car races. Awesome track. Once I finish the car I'll definitely be saving up to run an HPDE there.

Yo Josh!
Congrats on the new place! Hope y'all are happy there...

Yep, NC is a good place to live. I'll second the vote for VIR, it's a really nice track. The little one there at CMP where we met is pretty good too, lotsa fun to run. And you're not THAT far from Atlanta...

Any-hoo, I'll be lookin' forward to more build log stuff when you get your stuff settled in there.

Thanks JD!! I'm on the look out for a new job. Just trying to see what is out there. Hoping a better company and more room to grow within a company.

Signed the lease and paid the deposit today. They were being super pushy for the last 2 days. My sister was getting pretty pissed. Just glad that part is over. Our move in date is the 16th of Aug. looking forward to move.

Briggs,

Ok, I got to ask, what is that you're riding in? M1075 w/ trailer? Or something else? Just wonderin....

Hope you have a good time in Wisconsin. And be Safe!

And I think renting a house sounds like a very good solution for where you are in life, especially if you've got somebody (reliable) to share the rent with. Makes things much more affordable, doesn't lock you down in one spot (for all that long), and gives you garage space (extremely important in my opinion). Good solution!

Spot on. Well just the newer model. 1075A1 with trailer. 8 axles total. About 80,000 lbs with load on. I think the up armored humvee is about 8,000 lbs itself. Fun fact. The truck and trailer combo I'm in. Take a guess at the price tag... We have 10 trucks on my convoy, 21 total. We are hauling $3,000,000 worth of equipment. 3 million dollars worth of equipment on our trucks and trailers. Not counting the price tags of our trucks. I'll see if anyone can guess that one.

I'm moving in with my sis. I shouldn't have to worry about her covering her share. She makes almost as much as I do and she gets child support.

Garage space was top on my list with 4 bedrooms on her list. She kept sending me 1 car garage houses and town homes. When I found our current house, we went to look at it. I was like this one is it. 4 bedrooms with a large 2 car garage. She talked about putting stuff she has in the garage. I mentioned there was an attic up stairs. She just shook her head. LöL.
