So what's the deal with it? It appears to me that your fuel tank vents into it and then from there goes back into the intake. Can you eliminate it and just vent to the atmosphere?

I know a lot of fellow "jeepers" do the same thing because once they go bad, you can't get replacements for the older CJ series jeeps. Most just yank them out and vent into the atmos. Only real problem with that is if you have smog police in your area. Vapor canister would just take up more valuable engine compartment space and more importantly weight! lol I'm going to run one because I'm using carbs. Mainly so the float bowl vents into charcoal instead of being blown back towards the driver seat. Can you say headache?
