Winston's Half-Scale Kid-Powered Build

No, that's no a large-format edition of The Book -- that item is regular size. The chassis, however, is a 1/2 scale rendition of The Book chassis. There will be some deviations from the overall design to keep it simple and relatively inexpensive. The tubing is 1/2" square.

I consider this an opportunity to hone my welding skills while at the same time making my son the ultimate (IMO) pedal car. The drivetrain will be set up similar to that of a bicycle.

Thats cool and locost. Welding long wheelbase recumbent bicycles helped me with my fabbing skills.

Yeah Please. I would like to see another build report this sound like a good tune up exercise while planning bigger things!
I'm adding lightness by whittlin away at the driver.....

This project will be picking up soon. We moved earlier in the year, and I'm just getting my new garage set up with the necessary tools.

Ding . . .

Is this build still alive?

I think it's a great idea.

Winston bought Stein's build and then sold it to Titus. I think he's probably through with the locost scene.
