Best source for Chromoly tube! AED Motorsport.

Post by RichardSIA »

http://www.aedmotorsport.com/catalog/pr ... round-tube

I paid $3.83 a foot for U.S. made 1.5"x.083 compared a best of $6.23 anywhere else.
Even after shipping I saved over $162.00 from what Summit Racing would have been with "Free" shipping.
AND only four days for delivery.

Tube arrived today, on time.
Feels like early Christmas as I'm about to be able to bend metal at last. :)

i just asked them for a quote for 1.75 .120wall DOM. It's about 6/ft. for 200' that is about 1600 delivered. Ouch. NHRA spec is tough.

I imagine more sanctioning bodies will not support ERW for too long, so this hobby is going to get more expensive unfortunately.

Is there a history of ERW failing?

Do you have price and quality comparisons from other companies?
My experience was a significant savings and U.S. made.
I will be ordering more from them soon.
There is a quantity discount so you might try to get some other builders in your area to order at the same time.

The price is actually great, not saying that. Thank you for the link. Just a far cry from when this was 3/foot :(
