As you can see, we started updating the forum

Post by Blackbird »

And we hope you'll like the subtle changes that we put in it.
There's still a good bit of threads that need to be sorted out according to the new structure (to ease the search) but we're going to chase'em down in the next few days.

Please take the time to poke around and get a feel for the updated layout, it's a bit more defined.

Some of our computers refresh (for lack of a better term) a lot, so unread threads are missed. A search for posts in X number of days would be helpful.

I don't know if it's possible, it sounds like a something that will be related to the forum's software.
I'll look into it.

Meanwhile, all forum members are welcome to introduce themselves in the thread that was started just for that very purpose -

I agree with the x number of days search because I always have my computer on and my brother will come by and mess with it and its logged in here. Then the next time i get on I cant see the "posts since last visit" because it had been logged on. Maybe I should just not be lazy and log in every time I get on.

Sometimes I check it 20 times in a day and sometimes only once. But it has turned into a daily ritual and I feel incomplete if I dont get on at least once every day.

I thought I was the only one who gets on here too much. I guess I need to maintain my 1.88 posts per day.

That is a possible - there is a phpBB customization to do it. I've installed it before - its a bit involved though.

I have to agree. While the old look & feel was far from trendy it was really easy to look at and use. This is way too bright & hard on the eyes for me. It might be different if I was using a typical monitor but for now my web browsing is being routed through a 42" tv. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad on my laptop...

Oh, cab you please add back the full navigation line to the bottom of the page instead of just a "return to" link? When I finish a post it's irritating to have to scroll all the way back to the top just to get back to the forum index.

Hey guys, this is the old thread for the actual "subtle changes" please refer to the global announcement posted somewhere, lord knows where on this new format.

Also don't despair if you don't like the style, you can change it in your user control panel. Again, see the announcement and continue discussions there. This particular thread was started back when we did some simple reorganization.
